About us
Sora Montessori was founded by an AMI-certified Montessori guide with over 15 years of experience working with children across different countries, cultures, and educational settings. Her experience living, teaching, and traveling in different parts of the world—along with her own adventurous spirit-helped shape Sora’s global and flexible approach to education.
At Sora Montessori, we use the AMI Montessori curriculum as a foundation and thoughtfully adapt each session to the child in front of us. We consider what they are ready for, what captures their interest, and what their family hopes to support. This may mean strengthening foundational skills, offering greater academic challenge, developing Spanish, exploring a subject through art and creativity, or keeping learning consistent.

Is Sora an online school?
No. Sora is a personalized online tutoring practice. Our sessions complement the education a child already receives at school, at home, or while traveling.
Does my child need previous Montessori experience?
Not at all. Children can join Sora Montessori with or without previous Montessori experience. We begin with what your child already knows and introduce activities and materials according to their age, abilities, and learning goals.
Do we need Montessori materials at home?
Not necessarily. We work with materials families already have and often use everyday objects, art supplies, books, and printable resources. When a particular material would be helpful, we will discuss simple options with the family in advance.
Are sessions individual or group-based?
Sessions may be 1:1 or shared with siblings, friends, or carefully matched peers. Small groups never include more than three children and are formed according to age, developmental stage, interests, and learning goals.
Do you follow a curriculum?
Our work follows the AMI Montessori curriculum and its carefully sequenced approach to learning. Within that framework, sessions are adapted to the child’s interests, current abilities, needs, and goals. This gives children a strong academic foundation while leaving room for curiosity and exploration.
How do online sessions work with young children?
Sessions are interactive and designed with young children in mind. Depending on the child, they may include hands-on work, movement, stories, conversation, games, art, and creative projects. We also help families prepare any simple materials their child may need before the session.
Is art part of the sessions?
Art and creativity can be thoughtfully incorporated into academic and Spanish tutoring. Children may draw, paint, make, illustrate stories, keep journals, or explore a concept through a creative project. These experiences are adapted to the child’s interests and connected to their broader learning goals.
How often do children attend?
Many families choose two sessions per week to build consistency and support meaningful progress while keeping the experience manageable and enjoyable. The schedule may be adjusted according to the child’s age, goals, needs, and availability.
